3 K Bra Walk on12th April 09
The Bra Walk was the brain child of Colette Burke & Jeanette Hegarty DACC as they sat around the fire one night talking about ways of fundraising.
It just shows that if we carry some of our ideas through a great day can be had for all.
Colette would like to ectend a very Sincere Thank You to everyone who helped in any way.
The Letterkenny Town Band who lead the way, Cllr. Victor Fisher, The Tin Man & Easter Bunnies, the Civil Defence and so may people who helped in different ways.
A special thanks to all the business throughout Donegal who despite the economic climate gave there support through donating, meal vouchers, bottles of wine, power tools, Easter Eggs, toys.
And to the walkers you are “Simply the Best”
Some people walked with family, friends or work colleagues using it as an opportunity to walk in memory of a loved on, to support someone you know currently going through breast or other cancers and others just for fun.

It was a day for all the family with Easter Egg Hunt for the children, face painting, bouncy castle.

and the new
Breast Centre North West ( Breast Cancer Unit) at
Letterkenny General Hospital.

Donegal Action for Cancer Care would like to thank everyone who supported us with our recent 3 K Bra Walk on12th April 09
The Bra Walk was the brain child of Colette Burke from Burt & Jeanette Hegarty both DACC members as they sat around the fire one night talking about ways of fundraising. Colette said “they do Bra Walks other places, why not here.”
It just shows that if we carry some of our ideas through a great day can be had for all.
Colette would like to extend a very Sincere Thank You to everyone who helped in any way.
Over 80 people walked with family, friends or work colleagues using it as an opportunity to walk in memory of a loved on, to support someone they knew currently going through breast or other cancers and others just for fun.
“It was a colourful day, I never knew there were so many colourful bras”
“It just shows how close to people hearts the whole issue of cancer care is, especially when you see so may young people joining in to help” said Colette.
