Loroto Convent girls cake sale Dec 08

DACC present Loroto Convent Letterkenny students with Certificates of Appreciation in regocniation of their committment to cancer care for the people and the work of DACC .

The students hosted a Cake Sale in November and donated the proceeds of €200 to DACC.

The Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny celebrated their birthday with a Family Fun Day and invited DACC along.

It was a great opportunity for DACC not only to raise awareness of the work we do but to distribute valauble information on cancer and other health promotion information.

DACC “Perfect Partnership” evening was a great success.

Although the crowd could have been bigger those who attended exressed their thanks for a great night and wondered when we would host the next! Below are a few pictures.We would like to thank the following for their sponsorship of prizes: Josie Coll for lots of beautiful flower arrangements, Mc Elhinneys Stores, Kernan’s Centra Newtowncunningham, Restaurnat St Jude, The Silver Tassie Hotel, “Beauty Within” beauty rooms in Ballyboefy, Tony Kelly Cars, The Renault Garage, Mountain Top and to the Mount Errigal Hotel who once again provided the beautiful function room free of charge.

A big Thank you must go to the Mc Caul Academy of Irish Dancers who provided us with such beautiful Irish Dancing with no charge. We have not put the pictures of the children dancing on the website not because we don’t value them but because we wish to ensure that in this day & age they are not exploited. Thank you children and those who brought them and took care of them. 

To Catherine Sprole and her beautiful daughter Rachael a very sincere thank you. Catherine came along and spent hours both making fresh friut and vegatable juice drinks on the spot. Catherine owns the Guava Juice Bar in the Courtyard Shopping Centre, Letterkenny.

Again Catherine provided all the fresh fruit,vegatables and her services free of charge.

Letterkenny LYIT Head Shave fundaiser for DACC

We think these young men deserve great credit for there commitment to cancer services in Donegal. Not only did they have their heads shaved in front of their fellow students,they all willing put on Breast Cancer t-shirts. In the days when we hear so much negativity regarding our young people , it should be remembered that these young men are a fine examlpe of so many of our young people. Congratualtions and Well Done.

You are an example to us all.
