 The Action Strategy Sub Committee.

                                      The Alps

    Sometimes we, in DACC feel it would be easier to climb the Alp’s but like the picture above of the Alps, the sun comes shining through!

The Action Strategy Sub Committee was established in March 06.

The main aim and objective of the sub committee is to identify ways to bring forward and  promote the aims and objectives of DACC.

The Action Strategy Sub Committee meet on a regular basis.

All ideas, tasks etc are brought by the Action Strategy Sub Committee to the monthly County Committee meeting for approval before any work is started on. Work is carried forward subject to County Committee approval.

The Action Strategy Sub Committee provide a verbal and written report to the monthly County Committee.

The Action Strategy Sub Committee are elected/ re-elected at each AGM.

The Action Strategy Sub Committee are working very hard at present to develop a proposal to have Letterkenny General Hospital as a Centre of Excellence. This requires a serious time and work commitment.

And there are lots of days when we in DACC feel that we are only just hanging in there and then something or someone always re-energises us!

Among work identified and undertaken by the Action Strategy Sub Committee

are: Establishing themselves as a Sub Committee, The Awareness Rally, The Candlelight Vigil, The need for an Administrative Worker, The need for an office The cancer information book “You Are Not Alone”, A DACC information flier. the DACC Website including all related work.

The Office Management Sub Committee

  Chairperson: Mrs Alma O’ Donnell

The Office Management Sub Committee was established in July 07.

The main aim and objective of the sub committee is to establish the office, ensuring that all relevant systems are in place.

The sub committee are responsible for the day to day management of the office aswell as providing support, training and direction to the administrative assistant.

All ideas, tasks etc. are brought by the Office Management Sub Committee to the County Committee meeting for approval.

The Office Management Sub Committee provide a verbal and written report to the monthly County Committee meeting. 

The Office Management Sub Committee have established the office as a working base. They are in the process of establishing proper systems and procedures.

The Official Launch of the office took place the Wednesday 17th October 07.
