Immediately appoint a permanent Breast Surgeon to Letterkenny General Hospital (LGH)

Satellite Radiation Unit for North West

Hold urgent ‘round table talks’ with all parties (including DACC), with an interest/responsibility in providing radiation services to Donegal/NW, in order to clarify the current situation and to discuss how the provision of a satellite radiation unit in Donegal/NW can become a reality.

Breast Screening

In the current absence of the ‘role out’ of BreastCheck in the NW, take urgent remedial action to reduce the backlog of women waiting for mammograms.

Designate Funding

Designate, as a matter of urgency, funding for patients and their families who have to travel for treatment

New Public Beds

Provide LGH with 70 new public beds.

NB  Rest assured that DACC demands nothing but Best Practice and Best Outcome for cancer patients. We want to live out our lives, for as long as possible, and for those of us for whom treatments have been exhausted, we want to die with dignity in the presence of our families and friends.
